The creator of Nightly News and writer of Transhuman and Pax Romana, sat down with us this week and answered a few questions, along with a couple about his new book, Red Mass For Mars, which hit shelves last week.
June 28th's Midsummer Night's Anime Fest went down without a hitch--if you don't count the malfunctioning (but now repaired) air conditioner. However, with the introduction of three new game shows, Ramen Warrior, the cosplay contest, and anime on the big screen, the Otakus were kept preoccupied with what's really important: The love of anime and having a blast.

RADIATION INTERROGATION: BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS Wednesday afternoon, it was revealed that Skrulls had infiltrated Atomic Comics. Fortunately, Secret Invasion writer Brian Michael Bendis was able to advise us how to deal with the pest problem. While he was at it, he answered a few questions for fans at the Mesa Superstore.

Enthusiastic fans lined up for the midnight release of Dark Tower: The Long Ride Home at all four Atomic Comics locations, though the turnout wasn't as big for the sequel as it was for the original. Those who did stay up late, however, weren't disappointed.
Writer Jason Aaron made a name for himself with gritty, realistic Vertigo titles like Scalped and The Other Side, and now is taking over writing both Wolverine and Ghost Rider at Marvel. Expect grit, expect realism... but you may not expect what he has on iPod playlist...
