Posted By Buddy Baker on 04/21/2007 10:52 PM Grant Morrison. I am totally biased toward Grant Morrison because I love the books he is writing for right now. I had to ask myself if I would love the books anyway if he wasn't writing them. I would have to say yes I would. I can't say that for Captain America or Daredevil. Ed Brubaker made me like those characters through his writing/interpretation of them. Ed gets my vote. |

| Grant Morrison hands down, a few year ago I would have gone with Ed Brubaker, but his Darevil went off track & lost me, Criminal is no fun to read & there's nothing special or original about it, & uncanny is abyssmal, won't this story arc ever end? |

Grant Morrison's a horrible writer who writes people heavily out of character... and he gets away with it because "Ho, ho! He's the eccentric, drug-addled modern day comic visionary!" He writes Batman like a tea-swilling Brit, and his writing style overshadows the story on a regular basis, and often becomes a serious distraction.
Brubaker is far superior, though his Uncanny is nigh-unreadable. Even so, his Cap has improved greatly more recently, and his Daredevil has been solid from word go. |

Considering Daredevil and Captain America are both nominated for Best Ongoing Series and Criminal is nominated for Best New Series, if Brubaker doesn't win, something doesn't compute.

| Whenever I read anything by Morrison, my reaction is invariably "Wow, so LSD and a junior high-level understanding of physics is all it takes to be a god among comics." |

| Morrison, Brubaker and Burden all make me quite happy. It's been a good year for writing. |

Corwin doesn't like signatures. But Corwin does love to dance. |
