I totally agree with you.  Lone Ranger was a character that was totally off the radar.  No one said "How come there isn't a Lone Ranger t.v. show/movie/comic book/lunchbox?".  It really took off like a silver bullet.  A great read and truth to the Lone Ranger mythology.

Lone Ranger it is. It reads quick, but it still packs in a surprising amount of story. It just needs to come out with greater frequency.

How did 52 not get a nomination here?   (or is this just for "ongoing" ?)

Lone Ranger. no contest

In blackest day, in brightest night,
Beware your fears made into light
Let those who try to stop what's right,
Burn like his power... Sinestro's might!

I'll go with Jack of Fables just so someone will mention it. I agree that Lone Ranger has great moments, but every issue seems to be a lot of filler building up to one moment (i.e. his getting the mask, his holding up the silver bullet). Great moments, but I always feel like I've read an 8-page story spread out over 22 pages. Jack of Fables is a more lighthearted version of its sister title that manages to be just as dense in context. On the flip side of what I said about Lone Ranger, when I finish 22 pages of Jack, I feel like I've read two or three comics worth of story.

That said, if Lone Ranger wins, I wouldn't be upset in the least or argue that it didn't deserve it.

I'm all about Gumby. It's just an all around well-done series, with great art and delightful writing. The kind of fun I've been looking for in a comic.

Corwin doesn't like signatures. But Corwin does love to dance.

It's true, the Gumby comic is pretty awesome and i've been picking it up everytime it comes out. I really love the fact that it's not a children's book at all and the first issue had clowns stealing liquor from a convinient store. Golden.

Gumby did surprise me, I was expecting another weak kids title, but cosidering who's writing it, it shouldn't have been a surprise at all. However, my vote is still for Lone Ranger
