I would to open this up with a fair question... what would you deem as the best graphic novel that you have ever read in you entire robot-donkey-punching life? Mine is a wonderous child that was born under a shining star, it's parents were Brian Wood and Becky Cloonan. That baby's name was... DEMO!

For me, it's Daredevil: Born Again. The whole artistic tone matches the story perfectly, and it's a Frank Miller story surprisingly devoid of hookers (though Karen Page is a heroin-addict/porn star in it). Either that, or Silver Surfer: Parable, which is probably one of the best Stan Lee stories I've ever read... and it has MOEBIUS!!!

Fables: 1001 Nights of Snowfall. The most visually stunning and deftly written story I've ever read. I've given away my personal copy four times now just so others could own it.
