Okay, I really need help! I have pretty much zero experience in the Spider-Man arena. I really like the character of Black Cat, and I found a trade called~ Spiderman/Black Cat: The Evil That Men Do. The art is by Terry Dodson, which is cool cuz I love his stuff. Is Spiderman/Black Cat: The Evil That Men Do a good trade? I know there are a couple more Black Cat books out there, but I'm really not sure which one to get and this one sounded pretty cool. Do any of you know of it or have another suggestion if this book is awful??? |

| This trade is a very good story. If you were trying to buy the comics, you would have a problem. It was at least a year or more between issue three and four! I don't know what happened to cause this and basically don't care because I am a comic fan and not a 'gotta know everything about everything' kind of person. The fact it was completed as a story is fine with me and it is a very good story. I guess I should clarify that with.... I like it and that is my personal opinion. Anybody else can chime in with their opinion! |

| Black Cat also is in a trade with Wolverine called "Claws". I have not read it, but if you like Wolverine I'm sure it'd be interesting to check out! |

| Hi Lumiya. I am responding to your question now! There was a four issue mini-series called Felicia Hardy: Black Cat that came out in 1994. If you enjoy the character, it is a neat little series. The art is not by Terry Dodson though. I also don't think they ever put it out as a trade, but I could be wrong on that. TTFN :-) |

I might be a little late on this, but I do NOT recommend "The Evil Men Do." I bought the first three issues, waited four years, and then bought the last three issues (Kevin smith dropped the ball and the book stopped coming out for four years). Upon reading the final issue, I was insulted as a reader, and sold my copies back to the store for trade credit.
I personally think the book is crap.
As for recommendations, there was a recent story-arc during "Civil War" that featured Black Cat helping out Spider-Man while he was on the run. I think it was in Spectacular Spider-Man (Sensational maybe?) It is available in trade form. |

Posted By chizzaz on 06/16/2008 1:29 AM Black Cat also is in a trade with Wolverine called "Claws". I have not read it, but if you like Wolverine I'm sure it'd be interesting to check out! Much as I love Joe Linsner's artwork on Claws (he draws a fabulous Black Cat), I have to say I hated that book. The dialogue was truly craptastic and the plot pretty much meh. I did like the ending, but that's about it.
