| We've seen the images for World War Hulk. Do you think it will payoff or is it just hype? |

| Almost anything would be better than Civil War, a Marvel comic's event in 7 parts in 89 parts, but loin cloth Hulk is not it. Here's the Marvel editorial meeting "Okay gang we've just poorly written Peter Parker revealing his secret identity, we hurt Cap's feelings then killed him, we brought back Captain Marvel with a bad version of Barry Allens story, wrote the entire universe out of character & dressed Punisher up as Captain Pirate America. How do we follow it up... I know we'll give the Incredible Hulk a headband & a Cable arm, & with his new tween aged sidekick in tow, he'll fight Ghost Rider & Blacbolt with a sword, while a couple of reports look on" there's a better chance of me buying stykman. |

| I cannot post a reply as any attempt to formulate a thought on the subject leads to a giant unfocused rant about how much I dislike what Marvel has done in the past two or three years. |

Hulk kicking teh $*^% out of Tony Stark will be the only thing that could make the end of Civil War better. |

| Don't care at all about WWH - BUT... Civil War was excellent, and as time goes on, I'll be proven right. Certainly, anything done in Civil War is infinitely more intertesting than a bunch of Silver Age tools I've never heard of and have no emotional investment in being revamped for the fiftieth time in the pages of 52. I'm eager to see the end of 52, but I am simply tired of being treated like a simp by the 52 writers - as if anyone at all didn't see the foreshadowing to Renee Montoya becoming the Question. "Hey, Renee... I guess that's a QUESTION for another day.. (wink, wink, nudge, nudge)" I GET IT! SHE'S GOING TO BE THE QUESTION! CUT IT OUT! It's like lately DC is writing their books for five-year-olds that have somehow read everything from the silver age. Absolutely awful. |

A few weeks before 52 debutted DC announced that during the series Renee Montoya would, by the end of 52, be the question, that part was not a mystery at all, they said it at the very beginning, one of the main 6 would die, one would get powers, one would get a new identity & renee would become the question, & in a few years after they re-mask Peter Parker & bring Steve Rogers back to life, Marvel's civil war will be as important as Secret War II. |

Civil War had it's high points - but I don't think it delivered on it's promise. They compromised the Captain America's character by having him surrender - so much so that Brubaker's death of Cap story was a mercy killing.
I think that Marvel is writing themselves into a corner...a reboot (or another universe) in the cards within the next five years. Maybe they already have Earth-A and Earth-B , because Civil War was on one.. Amazing Spiderman, Punisher War Journal (Marvel's best book lately) and Iron Man were definitly on a different one continuity-wise. Even leaving them out - you have Earth-Ultimate, Earth-Supreme, and Earth 616 - and crossovers between them
While there were predictable moments in 52, there were also alot of shockers. I think some of the "mysteries" were designed to be easy to solve, and others not so much so. I doubt anyone could get in the mind of Grant Morrison enough to call him "predictable". *shudder* Secret Wars II - The Beyonder steals his look from Miami Vice *shudder*
