Well, it only took seven issues but we finally have a solidified JLA (although it was announced months ago). It's no JSA, but the art is beautiful and the writing... well... we'll see. What does everybody think of the new Martian Manhunter-less roster? We have a mix some of the classic (The Big Three, Hal, and Dinah) the B-listed (Black Lightning, Red Tornado, and Vixen) and some fan favorites thrown in (Arsenal, Hawk Girl). Red tornado? A flash replacement maybe? I've got to tell you I was pulling for Cyborg, but he's really the heart and soul of the current Teen Titans.
Pros and cons of this group? What would be your dream team?

For one issue only, they should have changed the title of the book to "Standing-Around-and-Talking League of America."
Personally, I hate Batman on the JLA. He's this brooding, evil scourge of Gotham city, and all of the sudden he's in space with the Justice League. Lame. And of course, as soon as they fix Martian Manhunter (he's found PANTS!) suddenly he's off the team. Double lame. |

SIs it Me or does it seems like they kinda took a note from the New Avengers on at least who the characters decided was on the roster? A Bunch of heroes, some who know each other, some who don't, Some classic to the team, some newbies, Get together and beat big menace and then decide hey that's the team. Not necessarily a bad thing, but y'know I noticed that.
As for the line-up we got, Here's my thoughts:
Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman are kind of necessary, you could do without them but they bring some prestige to the team. PluS big time power, planning, and Idealy deplomacy.
The League needs a Lantern, and this time we have Hal Jordan, who at least in some eyes still needs to prove himself again. Interesting plot possibilites,
Black Canary is a Good classic all around member. She's tough, she's smart, she's got history with pretty much everyone on the team, and she's can kick butt with or without her powers. Plus she's got fishnets.
Red Arrow/Arsenal is a legacy, which is usually a JSA thing but it can work here. He works like Ollie worked with the team, but he's used to working with a team more and is less of a schmuck then his mentor.
Hawkgirl was put on probably because she's on JLU. Okay just hope she doesn't Get over powering like she is there. Plus Roy Thinks she's hot.
Animal Powers can be every interesting, and Animal man is in space, SO Vixen gets the spot. Plus we help the ratio with another attractive lady
Red Tornado and Black Lightning, Classic characters who deserve to finally get the limelight. Not Completely sold on Reddy Yet, but his story arch is interesting so far. And Black Lightning has been needing to be in a regular book for awhile, as he's been kicking butt for the last few years in guest spots.
Okay My Pick for a dream JLA without just copying a previous line-up. The Big 3, Martian Manhunter (long as he gets over the humans suck attitude he seems to have in his own book) Black Canary, Zatanna for Magic Stuff (plus more fishnets), Flash(Preferably Wally), A Green Lantern( Kyle when he was GL Preferably, or John Stewart, Or Guy GArdner. Hal's cool enough by himself). And Steel cause we need a tech guy and he's a tough tech guy.

Maybe the old one is no longer dead...we really don't know how many punches SBP threw.
I'm still hoping there is one that will revive Hitman (yet preserve his eventual end as his "future")

| A serious Beetle or Booster book arter crisis or 52 would be possible, before they were both just too goofy, as for Guy, I wouldn't want to read a serious title with him, it would take away to much from his personality |
