I was thinking of going out and buying some older comics, i dont have that many, but i read them. Was wondering what the best one was?
DONT judge it based on price. Judge it on story and such. Its not for me to buy its just to get some opinions.
Along with that whats the best current or recent comic(s) that are the same way? Like what ones are stories that people will remember for ages?
for me? 1 Old comic would have to be Supermans death. Not because of the new movie or anything. Its because of the one single story showed how big comics affect our world. It had news stories and even mad the world get upset. Of course it also made alot of people mad at comics but still. I dont think there has been a story that effecting so many people since.
2 The recent one would have to be the end of the civil war. The story had a similar effect on our community and ended with a death of a famous hero. The story took some very interesting twists and even dared to go places many fans thought marvel would never come close too. At the same time the story changed MArvel entirely. |

As for best OLD comic book-
I RANDOMLY think of the 1986 Frank Miller/Bill Sienkiewicz "Electra Assassin"
That was the first book that made me appreciate painted artwork
This list could go on forever I'll post if anything random comes up

| In my opinion, anything by Will Eisner. The undisputed "Master" of sequential storytelling, bar none!!!! |

| Eisner is and always will be a titan of the industry. Single handedly created the modern graphic novel and sequential art. |
