Well Endangered Species comes out next week and was pretty awesome. The next major X series was just announcec and it has Mr. Sinister. Messiah Complex looks cool and Slivestri is doing the covers. What's everyone's opinions on the current state of the X-books and the mutant status quo?

If Silvestri's only doing the covers, then who's on interiors?

Personally, I think there's been too many cooks in the X-stew.

When does Marvel take the spotlight off those freaks? House of M, Decimation and Civil War were all about them. Mutant Terrorist Chuck "mindwhammy" Xavier was in the Illuminati and that blueskinned hottie Namorita was the cause of the X=plosion at Stamford. Jeez Mutant overkill man. How many X titles come out in the average month? more than vivid puts out I'll tell you that much.

Go Time!

it's being advertised as an old school marvel x-men crossover, the same kind that got so many people to drop their x-titles in the past

Whatever happened to Marvel and DC encapsulaing their major stories only in the annuals? Why does everything have to be it's own EVENT and then tie into everybodies titles. and aren't the xbooks always a crossover with at least one other xbook?

I loved the annuals all being one big story, here's to that!

I don't think I was into comics for the Annuals thing. I kind of miss "Fifth Week Events" like Day of Judgement, where you had one week where the majority of the story was told, and you got your whole event in the span of a month.

That was a good story, & that format worked for Day of Judgement & Final Night, & while those were both major stories & wouldn't call them events.
