| I am kind of a snob when it comes to comics. I refuse to read anything that is not in color. Every once in a while I try to broaden my horizons. I am trying to learn more about this subject by reading the boards. A question I have been pondering since my wife asked me Sunday is this..... What is the difference between Manga and Anime? Inquiring minds want to know! |

I decided to put this here because of the original source of the question. I've been mostly in the Artist Society area and felt the need to explore the rest of the forum...here i am!
Th edifference is Manga is the standard comic form and Anime is short for Animation i.e. the cartoons.
I'm not !00% sure if i'm correct or not but Manga is printed without color to save money/time. though sometime you will find the boy comics will be printed in blue and girl comics in pink.
I don't recall why it called Anime though...once upon the early 90's it used to called Japanime, but i don't here that anymore...meh. |

I really could go on more about what i know but i didn't want your head to pop with being overwhelmed with things. But still if you have a question just ask...i"ll try to answer if i know...if not Lumiya might i would guess.
