Who wants to go see this movie? I know I will most likely go and see it. I haven't read the story yet, so I do not know what it is supposed to be like, but I think the movie looks like it'd be pretty good.

I forgot about this movie! I asked my friend about it when I watched the trailer like forever ago. He said it's a pretty hardcore comic. It should be about an assassin named Wesley Gibson, right? I found out there might be characters based on Catwoman and Poison Ivy! They're named The Fox and Deadly Nightshade. If that's true, I'm really intrigued! Oh, and I think the Wanted series was written by Mark Millar?

I know I'll be seeing this one. Altho my only gripe on the movie is that jole is kinda crushing on the assassin who seems way to young for jole. But hell I know I wouldnt pass her up either. Guess it just shows her age lol.

Don't expect to see an adaptaion of the book. This is so loosely tied to the source material it's not even close. Yes this was written by Millar but this is about as close to the book as League of extrodrinary Gentlemen was to it;s source material. Refering to how bad the movie was compared to the comic, not the comic compared to the original books.

Beware your fears made into light
Let those who try to stop what's right,
Burn like his power... Sinestro's might!

Since I have been working for Atomic Comics, I have learned to keep books and their movie adaptations completely seperate or else you will almost always be very dissapointed.
It works for all books and all movies though not just comics. I Am Legend anyone? Great movie, absolutly amazing book, nothing alike.

Hi guys, I'm not sure if this thread is dead, but I just finished reading my friend's copy of Wanted, and I highly recommend it!!! It's really good, and from what I've seen, the movie doesn't compare to the book. For one thing The Killer aka Wesley Gibson looks like Eminem not James McAvoy, and The Fox, who is one of the coolest, baddest female characters ever written, looks like Halle Berry.

Without giving too much away, Wanted is about Wesley Gibson's transformation into a super assassin who lives in a world where a group of super villains called The Fraternity rule and all the heroes perish. I loved Mark Millar's writing, and I'm really mad they didn't even give the two main characters their costumes in the movie. What's up with that???

I haven't read it because I have heard from countless people that the movie does not follow the book. I am going to read the book after I see the movie. I actually have a copy sitting on my book shelf.

And I know the character in the book was actually modeled after Eminem.

I think that it's more a reflection of the artist's art style. Look at WONDER WOMAN: THE HIKETEIA TP available at most good comic book stores.

I saw the preview and was like ehhh. Take it or leave it. The fact that it's based on a comic by Mark Millar, I'm down.

Okay, Wanted was a pretty good action movie. I saw the movie before reading the book because I know that movies are nothing like the books. I was very surprised by how gory it was! I thought it was good for an action movie. I liked the graphic novel way better. The fact that the Fraternity was super villains instead of assassins was way cooler and made a better story.

yeah the book is fantastic. Movie sux. They should have called it something else and not even bothered referencing it to the comic which is by far a superior story
