I've been going thru my old Hulk comics, finally baging/boarding them (taking me forever!) when I ran across the old run in Hulk had w/ MODOK. I just figured he was a on-off villain who never appeared again.

Then I see there's a mini-series run of books featuring him. I was surprised!
Does he have a history? Who is he? Is the mini-series "MODOK'S 11" any good?

(Geez, I've been away from comics for a long time.)

Modoks' first appearance was in Tales of Suspense #94 in 1967. After that he fought almost every Marvel hero at one time or another. If I am not mistaken, he was a creation of A.I.M. (Advanced Idea Mechanics). As soon as Atomic John sees this post he will fill you in on recent Modok history. I am more of a Silver Age buff being as those are the stories I grew up reading. They say your "Golden Age" of comic reading is twelve years old, and for me that was 1960.

Check your details. It was M.O.D.O.G. There is also M.O.D.A.M. and a couple of others I can't remember off the top of my head.

Thanks for the info. Interesting stuff.

Is the mini-series "MODOK'S 11" any good? Anyone read it?

Modok' s11 was an amusing look at a bunch of third tier villains desperately trying to make it. It was amusing but came out of left field and many didn't give it a chance. it was just fun. kind of Like identity disc was.
