Atomic's first Pop Culture Palooza is in the books. Nine teams, each with its own pop culture theme, ranging from "M*A*S*H" to the Terminator to "Three's Company" to the Justice League, vied for the title of Pop Culture Masters... and $250 in cash.

Ultimately, the final round came down to...
The Comicardinals...
...and Team Justice!Unfortunately for the Comicardinals, no one could stand against the combined might of Team Justice! Mac, Courtney, and Kevin crushed everyone on their way to victory, including taking the final round 3-0.
Winners: Team Justice!The day didn't end there. Between rounds, contestants for the Guitar Hero II Tournament warmed up while customers filled gaps in their comic collections thanks to the 40% off back issues sale.
After Team Justice was crowned, focus shifted to the Guitar Hero II Tournament. A dozen competitors showed off their licks... ...and style did count.
 The winner took home a Fender Stratocaster.
Overall, Pop Culture Palooza was a great success, but we know we can do even better, starting with holding it in February so no one has to stand out in the 100-degree heat all day! Bigger prizes, tougher questions, more... other stuff. Start studying now and screening your friends to figure out who you want on your team and we'll see you in February! |
