Thomas Jane Quits Punisher 2

 Thomas Jane spent years trying to get a sequel to The Punisher out of developmental stasis, but it appears he's finally given up on the project. In an email, Jane explained he is heartbroken over doing so, but is pulling out.
"Punisher fans are already fighting an uphill battle as it is," Jane wrote. "And I’ve always felt a responsibility to fight that fight for them and with them so that Frank Castle gets the treatment he deserves."
Lionsgate, however, appears ready to move ahead with the film, even without Jane.
 Rumors that Punisher villain Jigsaw will appear have been confirmed and UFC champ Chuck Liddell has told fans he's up for a role as one of Jigsaw's henchmen.
John Dahl is also rumored to be on board to direct. Dahl was in the director's chair for Joy Ride and Rounders. |

| Seriously, I would have given up to at this point. Enough dicking around already. No more direct-to-dvd-sized-Man Things, or Nicolas Cage Riders.. give the top tier characters the top tier treatment. |
