TMNT Art Sells for Quarter-Million

Having conquered the box office, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are bringing in big money on other fronts as well. Co-creator Kevin Eastman sold the original art for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 on eBay for just over a quarter million dollars.

Weaving Will Voice Megatron

It's been known all along that Peter Cullen would voice Optimus Prime in this summer's Transformers film, but it's finally slipped who will be his archnemesis. Hugo Weaving, who already played a computer program in the Matrix trilogy and thus should be able to be a robot without too much trouble, will provide the voice of Megatron.

Warner Bros. anounced Hirsch will star in the upcoming live action adaptation of Speed Racer set to hit theaters in May of next year.

Animated Spidey Coming to Kids' WB

Batman, Superman, the Legion, and Spider-Man could all be teaming up. CW, the network that already airs "The Batman" and "Superman and the Legion of Super-Heroes," picked up Sony's new animated series "The Amazing Spider-Man."

The show will debut in early 2008 as part of the CW's Kids' WB Saturday morning block.

The project was originally planned as a direct-to-video feature about Peter Parker's junior year of high school as he learns to control his new powers. The series will have the same setting, but will allow for more stories and the introduction of more classic Spidey characters.
