Atomic Comics - Back in 2006-2007 you and Mark Miller brought the Marvel Universe to its knees with the most successful selling comic in years. Did working on a book like that change your life (or at least your page rate) in any way? Steve McNiven - It was a game changer for me in that it gave me a much wider exposure to readers than I had ever gotten before, and it was a huge challenge for me artistically to draw all the crazy stuff Mark had come up with. What the hell is a page rate? Am I missing something here? Alls I get are free comics. Seriously though I did get my art from civil war on some t-shirts at universal studios which kinda impressed my daughter, which is more than any dad can ask for.

The debut of the Atomic’s Comic Spelling Bee Series at Atomic Paradise Valley this past Thursday was a very cool evening of comic book vocabulary dissection. Every single walk-in customer stopped to watch the spelling, applauding for correct action by the Spellers, and the Speller camaraderie made for friendly competition.

Throughout the day, folks from around the valley dropped by Atomic Chandler to have fun with a whole day of awesome games, prizes and contests running every hour. Amongst the prizes galore were free tickets to Saboten-Con 2009 and the ever highly valued Atomic Comics Gift Certificates. In between the games there were various anime cartoons playing on the big screen for all to watch and enjoy.

Well, it turns out Deadpool is actually a chick. This morning she weighed in at a healthy 23.2 ounces and is beginning to look more and more like a cat instead of a newborn kitten, but I want her to stay small forevers and evers and evers! It is awesome that she is healthy and growing after her tough start in life.
