Marvel Editor C.B. Cebulski has posted two Spider-Man images created by manga-ka Junko Mizuno on his Website, saying that he was “dying to post these pages…but as the project hasn’t been officially announced yet, I can only give you a sneak peak of this upcoming Marvel/Mizuno madness.”

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Spider-Man producer Laura Ziskin told an audience of theater owners that the fourth installment of Spider-Man’s celluloid adventures is tentatively scheduled to debut in May of 2011.

In a battle of high profile comedy debuts Warner Bros.’ Get Smart starring Steve Carell took the top spot at the weekend box office with an estimated total of $39.2 million while Mike Myers’ The Love Guru opened to a tepid take of $14 million.

Having scored a signal success with its comic book/graphic novel adaptation of The Dark Tower, Marvel Comics has announced a licensing agreement with Doubleday that will allow the leading comic book publisher to continue its collaboration with Stephen King on an adaptation of King’s post-apocalyptic masterwork The Stand, which has sold over 4.5 million copies worldwide.

Emily the Strange Live Action Film |

Dark Horse Entertainment President Mike Richardson is producing a live action feature film based on the character of Emily the Strange, an iconic figure created by designer/skateboarder Rob Reger. Reger first fashioned the character in the early 1990s and the pint-size Goth girl with her four cats was a huge hit on t-shirts, skateboards and stickers before Dark Horse began publishing an Emily the Strange comic and Toynami produced a series of Emily the Strange figures in 2005.

Hasbro, Inc. and IDW Publishing have announced an agreement, which will allow IDW to create a new line of G.I. Joe vs. Cobra comic books as well as publish deluxe reprints from the huge library of G.I. Joe comics in pamphlet, trade paperback collection, or graphic novel formats.
